Copycat Jamba Juice Chunky Strawberry Bowl

OK, this thing is a Treat. This is not my usual breakfast trust me, the sugar to protein ratio is way too high. However, I do get nostalgic about having one of these bowls every now and then so I will make it and treat myself. Especially when it’s strawberry season!

I think I first had this Jamba Juice strawberry bowl when I was an engineering intern at Google NYC circa 2012. Boston doesn’t have that many Jamba Juice’s unfortunately but they have one every street/avenue in Manhattan. The strawberry bowl is chunky. It is peanut buttery. Banana-ey, starberry-ey. They even stuck granola in it! Anything I don’t like? Nope.

So here, with a little Google’ing around, a homemade version whenever you want one, without leaving the comfort of your own kitchen!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1/3 cup any granola you like
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

Serves 2. Put everything in a food processor, pulse to combine without letting it get all smooth (it’s a chunky bowl, right?) and serve immediately. Optionally top with more granola and banana/strawberry slices.
